Buds are beautiful — a greenish-golden color, and dense. Break open a nug and you notice the stickiness and the abundance of trichomes, even though the THC is only around 21%.
Wow, it smelled so nice when I first opened it. Instantly I knew something was different, so I checked the packaged date — happily, it was from last week. A gassy, skunky smell that'll have you sniffing for more.
Very nice taste. Not sure if it's the freshness or just a good batch, but it was pleasant to smoke.

Sometimes it's not all about potency. The freshness gives an immense improvement to the smoke, smell, and overall experience. It doesn't get me as high as what I usually smoke, but because of everything else I get some hope for NY cannabis. Maybe a few years down the line we'll see Cali-quality products here — and, more importantly, see it consistently.
